ADANAC Images is honored with an Excellence in Public Education Award by the Avon Maitland District School Board and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) at a dinner held in Seaforth. ADANAC was nominated for the award by St. Marys District Collegiate & Vocational Institute (DCVI) for the role we played in the successful 2007 OFSAA Girls A Volleyball Tournament held at DCVI in March.

ADANAC Images becomes the first business in St. Marys to switch to Bullfrog Power! Bullfrog Power is a new kind of electricity company - the first all-green electricity retailer in Ontario. Bullfrog Power is the only electricity retailer in Ontario that buys power exclusively from wind and low-impact hydro generators who meet or exceed the federal government's EcoLogoM standard for renewable electricity. Choosing green power is an easy way for Ontarians to help create a healthier environment for their children, their communities and future generations. Switching to Bullfrog Power significantly reduces ADANAC Images' emissions footprint. Based on our previous annual electricity usage, ADANAC Images should be able to reduce its emissions by approximately 25.77 tonnes of CO2 (the primary gas that causes climate change), 101.46 Kg of SO2 (major contributor to smog) and 21.59 Kg of NO (major contributor to smog) in just one year.

ADANAC Images donates a number of large format photographs to Witness Photographic and the Cambodia Land Mine Museum. The photographs were taken by photojournalist Richard Fitoussi (photo below), a native of Bayfield, Ontario. These images will form part of a travelling exhibit that will visit schools and other venues with the aim of educating the public about the horrors of war. This remarkable collection of photographs were first introduced to the public at a Remembrance Day ceremony held at an area high school.
